At Good Apple everything we undertake is designed with specific students in mind, but all educational sessions are linked to the core themes identified in the National Curriculum. Good Apple staff work hard to provide a curriculum which focusses on core academic qualifications and a variety of vocational activities that caters for a variety of interests and we will strive to engage the hardest of students. Our learning programme is completely adaptable and is tailored to the needs and capabilities of each individual student. The learning environment is also adaptable and we use many creative ways to engage our students. We also have qualified counsellors on site every day who can help with students emotional and physiological development. We use CBT sessions to enhance the support we give our young people. As a staff group and a community we are very proud of our track record in helping students value both themselves and education.
Through targeted intervention we successfully recover students who would potentially leave mainstream school with limited qualifications or future prospects. We also work closely with families and local services such as family support groups, probation and the Police to provide a fully integrated intervention. We have developed strong links with many external agencies to support our students and typically over the last few year 90% of our student cohort has moved on to further education.
